The types of Abuse:
VERBAL:
A non-physical type of abuse that belittles a person.
Example: Swearing, interrupting, or shouting.
EMOTIONAL:
This is meant to slowly convince the person they are nothing.
Example: Patronizing, Public humiliation, and put-downs
MENTAL:
The abuse of choice for most women abusers, it slowly degrades the victim's self esteem.
Example: Mind games, having to be right all the time, ridicule, and manipulation.
PSYCHOLOGICAL:
This is used to intimidate the victim.
Example: Hitting objects to hint violence agains the victim, death threats.
PHYSICAL:
Using violence or brute force agains the victim.
Example: Hitting, throwing things, grabbing as they try to get away.
SEXUAL:
By far, the worst type of abuse, it threatens to take all sense of self-worth from the victim.
Example: Rape, touching, obscene comments or requests for sexual favors.
ECONOMIC:
Buys gifts and gives money with the expectation that you will pay them back double.
Example: You owe them for *EVERYTHING* you get from them, and they make you beg for money.
ISOLATION:
Keeps the victim away from friends and family until the only person there is the abuser.
Example: Constantly pages you and chases your friends away.
